Our last day in the smokies.

The Smoky Mountains are such a beautiful place. And the Wyndham Smoky Mountains is a great resort. On our last day we took a drive even though it was still raining and pretty overcast.
This is Gatlinburg from the Gatlinburg bypass road.

Below is a working Grist Mill.
When National Park service took over the area, there were hundreds of structures. They kept the ones they felt could be saved.

We went up to Clingmans Dome. On a clear day it is supposed to be a beautiful view. In the fog, not so umch. We didn't hike to the overlook in the picture.

View from the parking lot for Clingmans Dome.
We also went to Cherokee TN. and went to a really nice Cherokee Museum.
This area is amazing. The Smoky Mtn. National Park is the busiest National Park in USA. And the surrounding towns became tourist meccas. The pictures below were taking in Pigeon Forge. Dollywood is in Pigeon Forge.

There are hundreds of Arcades, Shows, Restaurents, Shops, and galleries.

I always thought the Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean. But apparently it hit an iceberg in Pigeon Forge.
